Why Should I Play Box Lacrosse?
NMS lax is proud to bring box lacrosse to Richmond
Just a few summers ago, on the world's most prestigious lacrosse stage, Canada was able to upset the United States in the World Championship. A large part of the upset was the incorporation of the box lacrosse game into the Canadian player's skill set. Now in the professional and college ranks we are seeing the importance of incorporating box skills into your field game. NMS lax is committed to teaching players how to hybridize their skills; first learning box lacrosse specific skills and then learning how to implement them into their field game. Join Coach Hall as well as other Richmond area coaches to add another dimension to your game.
Box lacrosse is not just important for a seasoned player but is also the most effective way to teach fundamental skills to new and younger players. Smaller team sizes, more touches, and an enclosed structure that keeps the ball in play help to encourage player development at a faster rate than field style play.

North Meets South Box Lacrosse
This year North Meets South Lacrosse will offer:
A Saturday Adult Open League
and Sunday JV & Varsity Leagues

JV (7th, 8th, 9th) and HS (10th, 11th, 12th) Box Lacrosse
North Meets South Lacrosse will run a 7 week program for JV (7th, 8th, 9th) and Varsity (10th, 11th, 12th) levels. Seniors planning to or capable of playing in college should consider the adult open league for a higher level of competition. All JV and Varsity sessions will take place on Sundays at SCORs full outdoor covered box field. Seating and bench areas will be covered, and games will not take place in the event that the temperature falls much below freezing.
All players can sign up individually or with their teams.

NMS Will provide coaches, but team coaches that want to participate are also welcome!
All teams will begin with a box lacrosse training clinic on November 19th and progress to game play on December 3rd. Games will be held on Sundays 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, and 1/21 . Our make up date if a week of games are missed is 1/28.
Box lacrosse games will take place between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. In the event registration overflows some games may be scheduled from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM or 4:00PM to 5:00PM. The clinic on the 19th of November will have some earlier times.
JV division games will be scheduled earlier in the day followed Varsity level games.
Goalie equipment will be provided.
Cost is $195 by 10/13/23 and $210 after. This includes the processing fee.

Adult Open League
The North Meets South Box Lacrosse League is for advanced HS Seniors, college level players, and adults!
Adult open will have 7 weeks of game play. Adults can sign up individually or with their team.
Adult League games will take place between 11 AM and 1PM on Saturday's Starting November 18th and occurring 11/18, 12/2, 12/9, and 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20. If a game is missed the make up will be held on 1/27 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Games will not be played if the temperature is much below freezing.
Goalie equipment will be provided and adult goalies play free.
