Meet the Staff

Eric Hall: Owner/Director

Eric Hall is currently the Head Coach of the Cosby Titans.

Eric is formerly the head coach for the James River Rapids and the  Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers in Melbourne, FL where he  led the Hustlers to 2015, 2016, & 2017 District Championships and consecutive appearances in the Round of 16 of the FHSAA state playoffs in 2015 and ’16.

Eric was formerly coach the of the Atlee Raider’s Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team, the winner of the 2012 VA Club Lacrosse Championship.  He led the Raiders as they transitioned from a club team to a Varsity VHSL team making it to the state quarterfinals in their first VHSL season.  In three years, Hall led the Raiders to a 38-11 record that included a State Club Championship and second place finish.  Teams averaged 5.4 goals against the Raiders in the 3 seasons under Hall capped off by a 4.6 goals against average in 2014, good for best in the state of VA.

An upstate New York native, Eric has been involved with organized lacrosse for over twenty years as a player and now a coach. Eric was a three year varsity starter as a defenseman for the General Brown Lions, was a captain, and was selected to the all-league team his senior season. Eric went on to play at SUNY Cortland and was a defensemen on the Red Dragon 2006 national championship team.  Eric graduated from Cortland in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical Sciences.  He went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011.

Eric co-owns North Meets South Lacrosse and is an active coach and program director in the diverse array of lacrosse programming  that NMS lax has to offer in Richmond and Jacksonville including elite and academy level travel teams, box lacrosse, camps, clinics, rec leagues and other instructional training.

Eric currently works for a local manufacturer rep/lab build and design company, STX and resides in Richmond VA.

Glenn Carter: Owner/Director

Glenn Carter currently serves as the Program Director for Boy’s Lacrosse at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville after 17 successful years at the collegiate and professional levels at the University of Richmond, Ursinus College, Neumann  University and  the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Carter gets much of the credit for transforming the University of Richmond Lacrosse program into a NCAA Division 1 team. Prior to U of R, Carter started and was head coach of NCAA Division III Ursinus College for nine years, leading them to a national ranking and toppling several Top 10 teams. Carter has also coached at the professional level for the World Champion Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Before Ursinus, Carter served as the head assistant for the Neumann College Knights. There he helped lead the Knights to the 1999 ECAC South Region Championship. Carter was also a standout defenseman for the Knights as a player.

Carter has served as head varsity coach for the Friends Central School in Pennsylvania, sending many young men to top Division I, II, and III colleges and universities. He also has served as director for Black Bear Lacrosse. Black Bear operates many instructional camps around the country and travel teams that serve the Philadelphia metro area, giving student athletes the opportunity to get noticed by colleges and universities.

Carter was a key note speaker at the 2005 US Lacrosse National Convention and served as a traveling clinician for U.S. lacrosse, assisting in developing lacrosse in “new” areas for both coaches and players.

Carter also was the founder of Team Venom travel lacrosse which has quickly become one of Central Virginias best travel clubs. Coach Carter also helps & counsels local players with the college recruitment process to assist them in finding the best academic/athletic fit for the student athletes and their families.

Carter is married to Tonya. The couple has three children, Gabi, Mia, and Tre.

Zach Webb: Coach & Venom High School Director

Zach Webb attended Godwin High School in Henrico County, Virginia where he was a three time letter winner and member of the Colonial All-District and All-Region football teams.  He was a four year starter for the West End Lacrosse Club where he was Defensive MVP his junior and senior years, as well as a member of the 2002 Virginia State All-Star team.  He attended Randolph-Macon College where he played lacrosse his freshman year, after which he transferred to UNC-Wilmington, participating at the club level and earning a degree in business marketing.


After completing his studies, he remained in Wilmington, North Carolina where he served as assistant coach for the New Hanover Wildcats for 2 years.  Upon returning to Richmond, Zach served as head coach of Benedictine College Preparatory before returning to his alma mater.  He is currently in his 2nd year as the Head Coach at Godwin High School.

 

Fielding Crawford: Coach

Fielding Crawford just finished a stint as offensive coordinator for the University of Richmond Men's Lacrosse Team.  Crawford helped guide Richmond to a numerous successful seasons as a varsity club program.  

A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Crawford was a standout player at Christchurch School.  As a junior, he broke numerous scoring records, including the single-season assist record (66) and single-season points (120). As a senior Crawford was named All-Prep, All-State, and All-American.

Under Bob Shillinglaw, Crawford played for two years at the University of Delaware before transferring and earning a B.S. degree in history education at East Carolina University in 2004.

Crawford's coaching experience includes an Assistant Coach position with the East Carolina men's club team in 2004. He served as Coach at Lafayette High School in Williamsburg from 2005–07, and as JV Head Coach at Deep Run High School in Richmond from 2009–10.

Currently a social studies teacher Williamsburg, Virginia, Crawford enjoys the similarities between teaching in the classroom and coaching on the athletic fields.

Crawford lives in Richmond with his wife Becky and son Rivers.

Greg Rosenberg: Coach

Rosenberg comes to NMS as a former coach at University of Richmond, where he served as an assistant coach for three years. Greg served as the position coach for goalies and the recruiting coordinator. 

In addition to his recruiting responsibilities at UofR, Rosenberg has been on the staff of numerous national recruiting camps, including New England Top 150, Maverick Showtime, Top 205, Adrenaline Showcase, and Super Soph.

Prior to UofR, Rosenberg coached at Randolph-Macon and locally with the Hanover County Lacrosse Club. During this time, he ran the Hanover County summer lacrosse camps and box lacrosse program.

Rosenberg earned his B.S. degree in Business at Keuka College, where he played attack and served as a two-year captain. Prior to Keuka, Rosenberg played for two years at attack for the nationally ranked Onondaga Community College. He is originally from Camiullus, N.Y., a West Genesee High School Graduate.

Rosenberg currently lives in Richmond with his wife Catherine and two daughters Claire and Grace.

Jim Woodward: Coach

Jim Woodward is a Venom product/alum.  He just finished up his second year at Hampden Sydney College where he played defense for the Tigers.  A Richmond native, Woodward played lacrosse for Atlee High School and captained the Raiders to a Club State Championship in 2011. 

Jim is currently a member of the Hampden-Sydney Mentor Program and the Tiger Athletic Club.

Rob Bedinger

Coach Bedinger graduted from St Christopher's in 2003 and went on to play four years of club ball at Hampden-Sydney College where he graduated with a Biology Degree in 2007.  Rob is now the assistant coach for the Atlee Raiders.

Coach Bedinger works as a chemist in research and development at Chemtreat inc and resides in Hanover County with his wife and black lab.  

 

Austin Peck

Austin is a three year varsity player for the Atlee Raiders.  His sophomore year he was a first offensive middie on the club state championship.  His junior and senior year he played offensive and defensive middie and won another state club championship.  Austin has also been a long time member of Venom Lacrosse, has experience coaching indoor lacrosse for the Police Athletic League, and has been instructing private lessons for two years.  In his senior year, Austin looks forward to helping the Raiders deep into the state tournament in their first year of VHSL competition.

Scott Zarges

Scott started out at the youth lacrosse level in Hudson, Ohio. Having relocated to New Hope-Solebury High School in eastern Pennsylvania for the start of high school, he was a 4 year varsity starter at attack and 2 year captain of the Lacrosse team also a 2 year starter on the varsity soccer team. Attended the University of Mary Washington and was a member of the varsity lacrosse team for 2 seasons before graduating with a degree in business administration in the spring of 2009. Currently employed at Estes Express Lines as a Senior Pricing Analyst and is still active in both Men's lacrosse and soccer leagues in the Richmond area. 

Derick Swenk: Coach

Derick grew up in Midlothian, VA playing as a four year defensive starter for Chesterfield Lacrosse Club. He attended Virginia Military Institute where he was a walk on and became a three year starter on defense, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002.

Derick is currently an assistant coach at Mills Godwin, he has been active in the Richmond lacrosse community since 2003 as a head coach as well as an assistant.

Derick lives in Richmond with his wife Meghan and daughter Georgia.

Zach Hamelinck

Zach was born in Syracuse NY, and attended Chittenango high school. He was a 5 year varsity wrestler and a three year varsity lacrosse starter with 2 year honorable mention all league honors and was 2 time defensive MPV of the team. Zach attended division 3 Clarkson university for one year then transferred to division 2 Lake Erie college In Painesville Ohio where he was a three year starter and a two year captain. 

Kevin Kliszczewicz

Kevin was a Division III Varsity Lacrosse Athlete (2006-2008) for the Cortland Red Dragons and was part of the NCAA Div III National Championship team (2006).  Kevin received SUNYAC – All Academic Team certificate (2006 and 2007) and was a faceoff and two way midfielder for the Red dragons.

Kevin has experience coaching as the Liverpool (NY) High School Freshman Lacrosse Assistant (2010), as a Senior Counselor at Blue Chip Lacrosse recruiting camp, Fairfield, CT  ( Summer 2006), as a Senior Counselor at Mark Millon Lacrosse Camps: Farmingdale, NY/ Wesleyan, OH/Baltimore, MD (Summer 2006-2008), and currently assists at Atlee High School and with many North Meets South Lacrosse events.
